Rolling out the kindness with Rugs For Classrooms

Give us your unwanted rugs! We will clean them and

donate them to teachers for their classrooms.

Through our #RugsForClassrooms program,

your gently used rugs are professionally cleaned

and then donated to local teachers, helping create

warm, welcoming spaces where students can

gather, learn, and grow.

It’s a simple way to show appreciation for educators

while keeping rugs out of landfills. Instead of tossing

that old rug, let it make a difference. It’s sustainability

with heart — clean rugs, happy classrooms,

and less waste in the world.

Hey there!

I'm Megan, the voice on the other end! I wanted to talk about a little passion project of mine, "Rugs For Classrooms"!

 Moment

I was driving down a neighborhood street one day practically breaking my neck to look at a rolled up rug on the side of the road and thought to myself, what a shame. That rug will just blanket the earth from here to eternity.

Polypropylene rugs are probably the most discarded rugs because they are cheap to replace and most times cost less to replace than to clean. Don't get me wrong! I understand! I just hate seeing a 8x10 sheet of plastic go to the yard for the foreseeable future. I felt an overwhelming need to save the rugs! Maybe, a little overdramatic in the moment but I decided then that I was going to make a plan to save the rugs and make sure they went to something meaningful.

So, if I make it a mission to rescue the rugs, where would I take them? Well, being in the rug cleaning business, (wink, wink) I know a thing or two about rugs in classrooms. So for me, TEACHERS, was the obvious answer.

Our teachers but forth a lot of effort to jazz up their classrooms and they do it on their dime! I wanted to be able to give back and hopefully help them to make their classroom as eviting and nurturing as possible! And save a rug or two in the process!
